The Ministry of Transport, Civil Aviation and National Meteorology, in collaboration with port stakeholders, is hosting the 5th edition of the tripartite forum for the facilitation of goods transit through Cameroonian ports. The opening ceremony, held on Monday, May 11, 2026, in N’Djamena, was led by the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, Fatima Goukouni Weddeye.
Scheduled from May 11 to 13, 2026, this forum serves as a strategic dialogue platform to strengthen economic cooperation between the Central African Republic, Chad and Cameroon.

During the event, Jean Ernest Masséna Ngallé Bibéhè, Cameroon’s Minister of Transport, praised the commitment of the three countries’ top authorities. He highlighted how Cameroonian port infrastructure benefits both the Central African Republic and Chad, emphasizing the deep geographical and historical ties between these nations.
The forum aims to address critical challenges such as trade facilitation, logistics cost reduction and regional economic integration. Discussions will focus on practical solutions to improve transit efficiency and competitiveness for landlocked countries like Chad and the Central African Republic.

Fatima Goukouni Weddeye stressed that the performance of the Douala and Kribi corridors directly impacts market supply, logistics costs and overall economic competitiveness in the region.
