An official dinner was hosted in N’Djamena to celebrate the conclusion of Sonelgaz International’s working mission in Chad. The Algerian delegation, which traveled to N’Djamena to advance a 50 MW power plant project, wrapped up three days of intensive technical discussions, site inspections, and field visits.
The farewell event, organized by Chad’s Minister of Water and Energy, showcased traditional dances, a shared buffet, and a ceremonial cake-cutting, symbolizing the strong bonds between Chad and Algeria. After evaluating the proposed location for the future power station, the Sonelgaz team expressed their commitment to supporting Chad in expanding its energy capacity and ensuring broader access to electricity for local communities.
The 50 MW power plant initiative stands as a testament to the deep cooperation between Chad and the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, reinforcing Chad’s energy independence and infrastructure development.
