Endeavour Mining has disclosed that it injected 1,710 billion FCFA into Côte d’Ivoire’s economy between 2021 and 2025, with 644 billion FCFA paid to the state in taxes, royalties, and dividends, according to its first country impact report focused on Côte d’Ivoire.
Titled “Creating Tangible Value,” the report was presented on Monday, June 29, 2026, at Endeavour Mining’s headquarters in Cocody. It outlines the achievements of the Ity and Lafigué mines in economic contribution, community development, and environmental protection.
While presenting the report’s findings, Laetitia Gadegbeku-Ouattara, vice president of public affairs and country director for Endeavour in Côte d’Ivoire, stated that the Ity and Lafigué mines have turned gold into “a true catalyst for sustainable development” over the past five years. She reaffirmed the group’s commitment to a partnership built on trust, transparency, and shared progress.
She specified that of the 644 billion FCFA paid to the state, 398 billion came from taxes, 149 billion from royalties, and 97 billion from dividends. The company also reported spending 904 billion FCFA on purchases from national suppliers.
Endeavour employs more than 1,350 people, 94% of whom are Ivorian nationals. It also works with 4,390 service providers and over 600 local suppliers, making it one of the largest contributors to the country’s public revenue and the leading gold producer in Côte d’Ivoire.
In the health sector, Ms. Gadegbeku-Ouattara highlighted that more than 120,000 people have benefited from prevention, screening, and access-to-care initiatives carried out by the company and its foundation. The health caravans, in particular, enabled nearly 4,000 people to receive free consultations and treatments, while 64 patients underwent free cataract surgeries.
According to the departmental health director of Zouan-Hounien, Dr. Youssouf Koné, the partnership with Endeavour represents a significant support in the fight against malaria for communities living near the Ity mine.
In education, more than 4,000 children and young people participated in the company’s educational programs between 2021 and 2025, while 842 students completed practical internships. Initiatives such as “Élites de Demain,” “Jeunes Filles en Scolarité,” and “Pépites d’Or” are among the main human capital development programs.
The report also notes an investment of over 2.8 billion FCFA in community infrastructure. These funds enabled the completion of 71 projects for access to drinking water and safety, the rehabilitation of 16 roads benefiting over 360,000 people, the implementation of 10 rural electrification projects, and the issuance of 1,000 driver’s licenses to support youth professional integration.
On the economic front, more than 3,000 people benefited from 284 income-generating initiatives, funded to the tune of 487 million FCFA, with a special focus on women and youth. The “N’Goto Yetehe” program notably trained 63 young people in eight trades in Lafigué.
In environmental matters, Endeavour reported planting over 158,000 trees and protecting or restoring 199 hectares of land between 2021 and 2025. The “One Child, One Tree” program, conducted with schools, along with the restoration of 125 hectares of classified forests in partnership with SODEFOR, are among the main actions undertaken. The company also emphasized that its “Towards Zero Plastic” strategy eliminated more than 1.3 million single-use plastic bottles, a reduction of 99% in three years.
The Côte d’Ivoire 2021–2025 Impact Report is being presented to the host communities of the Ity and Lafigué mines in the presence of administrative authorities, local governments, customary leaders, as well as representatives of youth, women, and mining project steering committees.
Endeavour Mining is one of the world’s leading gold producers and the largest in West Africa. The group operates mines in Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, and Burkina Faso, and is developing several projects in the Birimian belt. It is listed on the London and Toronto stock exchanges under the symbol EDV.
