On an official visit to Togo’s northern border areas, President and Commander-in-Chief Faure Gnassingbé conducted a strategic assessment of the Operation Koundjoaré zone this week. The mission focused on reviewing security conditions and reinforcing the government’s commitment to combating terrorism alongside deployed defense forces.
The head of state began with a high-level operational briefing at the Command Post, followed by an inspection of the forward operating base in Tchamonga. This key location plays a pivotal role in the national security framework.
