Strengthening global security for the 2026 FIFA World Cup
The Deputy Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Christopher Raia, made an official visit this week to the International Police Cooperation Center (IPCC) in Rabat. The center brings together law enforcement and security officials from countries participating in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, reflecting growing international collaboration ahead of the tournament.
During his visit, Raia highlighted the importance of coordinated security efforts to ensure the safety of fans, teams, and infrastructure across all host cities. His agenda included a dedicated meeting with representatives from Morocco’s National Security Directorate (DGSN) and the General Directorate for Territorial Surveillance (DGST)—key agencies overseeing the country’s security framework.
The FBI’s engagement underscores Morocco’s pivotal role in global security planning for the event, positioning the North African nation as a reliable and experienced partner in managing large-scale international gatherings.
