Morocco formally joins Gaza stabilization mission with landmark accord

The signing of the agreement in Rabat marks a significant step in Morocco’s commitment to regional stability. High-ranking officials from the Royal Armed Forces, Foreign Ministry, and National Defense Administration participated in the ceremony, underscoring the Kingdom’s strategic role in the international stabilization mission.
This agreement formalizes Morocco’s technical and operational contributions, including the deployment of senior military officers from the Royal Armed Forces, Royal Gendarmerie personnel, and national security officials. Additionally, the Kingdom will establish a field military hospital as part of its humanitarian support.
Morocco’s peacekeeping legacy recognized
During discussions, Moroccan representatives highlighted the Kingdom’s long-standing experience in United Nations-led peacekeeping operations, emphasizing its dedication to international peace and security. The initiative aligns with the vision outlined by His Majesty the King, particularly in regional integration projects that enhance both security and social progress.
Leaders from the Gaza Peace Council and the International Stabilization Force praised Morocco’s decision, noting that its participation will strengthen the mission’s operational capacity and reinforce trust in the stabilization efforts. The agreement was signed in the presence of senior military commanders, including the Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces and the Commander of the Royal Gendarmerie.
