Gonçalo Ramos leaves PSG with record after move to AC Milan

The transfer, though occurring during a relatively quiet summer market due to the ongoing World Cup in North America, carries significant weight. AC Milan secured Ramos’ services for a reported fee of €74 million, with potential bonuses that could push the total to €80 million.

An unforgettable legacy at Paris Saint-Germain

Gonçalo Ramos joined Paris Saint-Germain from Benfica last summer but never fully cemented a starting position. However, his impact as a substitute was undeniable. The 23-year-old leaves the club with a remarkable record: 21 goals scored off the bench in official competitions. Even more impressively, the team remained unbeaten in the 37 matches he scored in, compiling a record of 29 wins and 8 draws.

In his 131 appearances for the club, Ramos contributed 45 goals and 10 assists, becoming a key figure in the team’s recent successes. His departure marks the end of a chapter that saw him lift two UEFA Champions League titles and several domestic trophies alongside his teammates.

A heartfelt farewell to PSG and its fans

In a touching statement, the Portuguese international expressed his gratitude to the club and its supporters. “Today, one of the most defining chapters of my career comes to a close. Wearing the Paris Saint-Germain jersey was a privilege and an honor I will carry with me forever. Together, we created unforgettable moments and achieved incredible milestones—two Champions League titles, domestic trophies, and memories that will live on in the hearts of everyone who was part of this journey,” he shared. “I want to thank my teammates, the coaching staff, the club’s leadership, and, most importantly, the fans. Your belief in me, your unwavering support through challenges, and your celebrations of every victory fueled our success. I leave today, but a piece of my heart stays with this club. Paris Saint-Germain will always be my home, and I take pride in having contributed to its history. Thank you for everything. Paris will forever hold a special place in my heart and in that of my family.”
