The World Cup is in full swing, but another significant football story is unfolding as the transfer market officially opens, even for players competing in the tournament. Gonçalo Ramos, the Paris Saint-Germain striker, is now set for an exit, with his future already cemented in contract terms. Only the final signature is missing at this hour.
The European champions of 2025 and 2026 have reached an agreement with AC Milan, confirmed this Saturday. Gonçalo Ramos will leave PSG and sign for the Italian giants. The clubs have just finalised a deal worth €70 million including bonuses.
Second-highest sale in PSG history
Ramos arrived in Paris in August 2023 from Benfica, initially on a paid loan of €20 million, followed by a permanent transfer of around €65 million. The 25-year-old Portuguese striker will now become the most expensive signing in AC Milan’s history, surpassing Rafael Leao, who was recruited from Lille for €50 million in 2019.
From the Parisian side, the operation is equally exceptional. Only Neymar, sold to Saudi club Al-Hilal in 2023, brought in more for the capital club (€90 million). During his time at PSG, Gonçalo Ramos played a total of 131 matches in all competitions, scoring 45 goals and providing nine assists.
