The Regulatory Authority for Subcontracting in the Private Sector (ARSP) in the Democratic Republic of Congo is taking a major step forward in modernising its services. Through an official statement, the public institution announced the complete digitalisation of the process for issuing subcontracting certificates, a key document for companies operating in this field.
Driven by ARSP Director General Juan Ted Beleshayi Kasanda, this reform aims to speed up file handling through full digitalisation of procedures, from the submission of requests to the delivery of the certificate.
“The goal is to gradually reduce the delivery time to seven days, and eventually reach a turnaround of seventy-two hours,” the ARSP statement notes.
From now on, certificates will be issued in electronic format and can be printed directly by their holders. Each document is secured with a QR code that allows instant verification of its authenticity, while the list of valid certificates is available on the institution’s official website.
At the launch of this reform, the first digital certificates were awarded to seven companies: MASKAN SERVICES SARL, PANAFRIVA SARLU, NKAEL SERVICES SARL, MAG CONTRACTOR SARL, ENTREPRISE GÉNÉRALE INVEST SARL, LIELE GLOBAL INVESTMENT CORPORATION SARL, and PERCEVE SARL.
The ARSP also announced another major innovation: the validity period of certificates increases from three to five years, for both new applications and renewals.
“Through this reform, the ARSP reaffirms its commitment to modernising its services, simplifying procedures for economic operators, and contributing to improving the business climate,” the public institution emphasises.
