How Canal+, M6 and L’Équipe will cover the PSG-Arsenal Champions League final

On Saturday at 6 PM, the Champions League final between PSG and Arsenal will be broadcast live. Canal+, M6 and L’Équipe have prepared extensive coverage, each with their own unique approach.

As the exclusive broadcaster of the Champions League, Canal+ will pull out all the stops for this highly anticipated final. Starting at 9 AM, Canal+ Foot will air a full day of coverage, including live updates from Budapest and a special edition of La Clinique des sports at noon. Presented by Lyes Houhou, this program will feature sports medicine professionals and former PSG player Alain Roche to analyze the physical and mental preparation of the Parisian squad.

From 1 PM, Canal+ will launch its Canal Bus, a mobile studio roaming the streets of Budapest, capturing the pre-match atmosphere. The Canal Champions Club team, including Hervé Mathoux, Laure Boulleau, David Ginola, Robert Pirès, Christophe Jallet, Bertrand Latour and Gauthier Kuntzmann, will then broadcast live from the Puskás Arena starting at 4 PM, right from the pitchside.

Commentary for the final will be provided by Paul Tchoukriel and Sidney Govou, with Margot Dumont and Dominique Armand handling sideline reporting and player interviews. After the final whistle, the Canal Champions Club will take over from the pitch before handing over to the Late Finale Club, a prime-time post-match show. Nicolas Tourriol will host the program from the Canal+ studios, joined by football legends Samir Nasri, Aline Riera, Mickaël Landreau and referee Tony Chapron.

M6’s free-to-air broadcast team

M6, which holds the free-to-air rights for the final, will send a team including Xavier Domergue and Benoît Cheyrou to Budapest for the commentary. Samuel Umtiti will join as a guest commentator, with Virginie Sainsily covering the action from the sidelines. On the pitch, Ophélie Meunier and Smaïl Bouabdellah will be joined by former PSG players Ludovic Giuly, Johan Djourou and Luis Fernandez, who will provide expert analysis before and after the match.

L’Équipe’s extended coverage without broadcast rights

Though L’Équipe does not hold the broadcast rights, the channel will dedicate its entire afternoon and evening to the final. The coverage will begin with L’Équipe de Greg hosted by Grégory Ascher from 4:45 PM to 6 PM, followed by L’Équipe de la mi-temps with Olivier Ménard from 6:45 PM to 7 PM. The evening will continue with L’Équipe du Soir from 7:55 PM to 10:30 PM and conclude with L’Équipe du Soir la prolong from 10:30 PM to 12:30 AM. The channel will feature a lineup of football experts including Johan Micoud, Jérôme Alonzo, Ludovic Obraniak, Raymond Domenech and Béatrice Kaboré.
