A distinguished gathering of scientific, cultural, and diplomatic figures witnessed Brayan Yebga Miyogog, a former student of the Institut Africain d’Informatique du Cameroun (IAI-Cameroun) / Centre d’Excellence Technologique Paul Biya, receive the Prix d’Excellence de l’Étudiant Africain (PEEA) from the association led by Géraude Akakpo on 27 June 2026 in Paris, France. This prestigious award recognises his resilience, academic excellence, and ethical commitment to impactful leadership from Africa on the global stage.
The accolade highlights the intrinsic value of this young software engineering graduate, trained at IAI-Cameroun under the leadership of Resident Representative Armand Claude Abanda, who also holds the #UNESCO #Chair for Central Africa on Access to ICT.
By winning the Silver Award, which celebrates resilience, engagement, and academic excellence among students from the African diaspora and the continent, the sustained expertise of IAI-Cameroun itself is honoured. The proud laureate acknowledged that the qualities—rigour, discipline, a taste for well-executed work, and perseverance—acquired at the Centre d’Excellence Technologique Paul Biya have made him a role model of success today. “On the big day, I will wear the colours of IAI. In my speech and exchanges, I will recall where I come from and the quality of the training I received at your institution. It is a pride to represent the school before this audience,” said the young award winner. This is a source of great pride for IAI and its top management, who spare no effort in placing highly skilled young people into the job market.
It is also worth noting that a few weeks earlier, the #AgriGuardian platform, of which Brayan Yebga Miyogog is a principal developer, won the TechforTech Public Prize in the Petit Poucet 2026 competition.
For context, Mr Miyogog is a trainer and junior architect in systems, networks, and #cybersecurity based in Montpellier, France. This digital virtuoso combines advanced skills in computer science, digital security, and #AI.
