Key safety guidelines for chadian pilgrims ahead of hadj 2026

The National Office for Pilgrimage Organization (ORGEP) has issued a stern reminder to Chadian pilgrims preparing for the 2026 Hajj, emphasizing strict adherence to safety and discipline protocols set by Saudi authorities.

This directive follows a high-level international conference on Hajj organized in Jeddah by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, where the Chadian delegation was led by ORGEP President General Idriss Dokony Adiker. The guidance aims to ensure a smooth and secure pilgrimage experience for all participants.

Prohibited activities and restricted zones

ORGEP has reiterated that political or partisan religious discussions are strictly forbidden in hotels and on holy sites, including Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah. Any form of political gathering or activity within these areas is also banned.

Additionally, pilgrims are prohibited from hosting or accommodating unauthorized individuals in hotels or at ritual sites. This measure is designed to maintain order and security throughout the pilgrimage.

Health precautions in extreme heat

With temperatures expected to soar in Saudi Arabia during the Hajj period, authorities strongly advise pilgrims to avoid outdoor activities between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to minimize health risks. Long walks between ritual locations are discouraged to prevent physical exhaustion among participants.

Special provisions for vulnerable pilgrims

Pilgrims who are elderly, sick, or physically challenged may delegate the symbolic stoning of the pillars (Djamarat) to a trusted representative. This flexibility ensures that all can fulfill their religious obligations without undue strain.

Emergency contact and support

In case of emergencies or difficulties, pilgrims are urged to contact the dedicated Saudi assistance hotline at 1966 immediately. This service is available round the clock to provide urgent support and guidance.

By following these critical guidelines, Chadian pilgrims can contribute to a safe, orderly, and spiritually fulfilling Hajj experience in 2026.
