Monaco ready to lower akliouche price for psg

In recent hours, Paris Saint-Germain appears to have stepped up its pursuit of Maghnes Akliouche, who could become the replacement for Lee Kang-In as the South Korean moves closer to Atlético de Madrid. The capital club, which showed interest last summer, may now receive a favorable boost in this transfer saga, as AS Monaco is reportedly prepared to demand a significantly lower transfer fee than it did a year ago.

This summer, PSG aims to continue its transfer strategy of recruiting young French talents. In that context, the trail leading to Maghnes Akliouche has resurfaced. Already pursued last year, the French international remains on PSG’s radar, and the club has decided to accelerate discussions as Lee Kang-In’s move to Atlético de Madrid becomes increasingly likely.

AS Monaco Set to Drop Akliouche’s Asking Price

PSG has seriously revived this transfer option, and things could now move quickly thanks to the excellent relationship between the Parisian hierarchy and AS Monaco. While Monaco was reluctant to let Akliouche go last summer and set a high barrier of 70 million euros, the situation has changed. The club now finds itself in a position where it needs to sell, and therefore cannot maintain such demanding terms, especially since Akliouche’s contract runs until 2028. The exact amount Monaco expects has not been disclosed, but it will be much less than the 70 million euros demanded last year.

Akliouche Waiting Until After the World Cup

Although this deal could be settled quickly between PSG and Monaco, Maghnes Akliouche recently expressed his desire to wait until the end of the World Cup before discussing his future. He stated that he remains fully focused on the tournament and that anything can happen, including during the competition. He emphasized that the World Cup is a major exposure window, but his priority is the national team’s objectives. He also stressed that he does not want to disrespect his current club by talking about transfers at this time.
