In a landmark move for higher education collaboration, Morocco and Spain have formalized a strategic academic partnership focused on business management sciences.
The agreement was signed over the weekend in Santander, Spain, between the Moroccan Management Association (AMG) based in Rabat and the Spanish Scientific Association for Economics and Business Management (ACEDE).
Expanding horizons through joint research initiatives
This memorandum of understanding establishes a robust framework for scientific exchanges, collaborative research projects, joint participation in academic conferences, and closer ties between researchers, faculty members, and doctoral candidates from both nations. The AMG, which maintains close ties with Mohammed V University in Rabat, highlighted the importance of this accord in bridging academic communities across the Mediterranean.
As members of the International Federation of Scholarly Associations of Management (IFSAM), both associations are committed to deepening academic and scientific cooperation between Spanish and Moroccan researchers in the field of management sciences.
Nurturing future academic leaders
Central to this partnership is the development of young scholars, including doctoral students and junior faculty members. The collaboration aims to enhance their professional competencies while facilitating their integration into international research networks, ensuring they gain exposure to global best practices in business education.
Spain’s premier management academy joins forces with Morocco
The ACEDE, Spain’s leading academic institution in business management and administration, has been a driving force in promoting rigorous research and elevating teaching standards in the field since its establishment in 1990. With a membership of over 700 university professors and researchers, the association plays a pivotal role in advancing knowledge in business administration sciences.
Through this new partnership, both AMG and ACEDE are setting the stage for a new chapter in academic collaboration between Morocco and Spain, offering young researchers unprecedented opportunities to engage with international academic circles.
