After a decade away, Lucas Digne is returning to Paris Saint-Germain and will join forces with Ousmane Dembélé.
The French defender, who played for Barcelona from 2016 to 2020, has been signed by the club after his release clause was triggered during the World Cup.
Digne’s return is seen as a boost to PSG’s defense, which has been missing a top-class player since Nuno Mendes’ injury.
The 33-year-old will play alongside Dembélé in central defense and provide cover for Mendes, who is still recovering from his injury.
Digne’s signing is also seen as a coup for PSG, who have struggled to sign high-profile players in recent years.
