The military leaderships of Tchad and the Central African Republic have intensified joint security operations along their shared border. A high-level strategy session led by General Moubarak Abakar Nassour Hor, commander of the Tchad–Central African Republic joint force, assessed recent field operations and outlined future security plans.
Senior officers from both nations convened to review the outcomes of Operation Al-Hamamia 1 and Operation Al-Hamamia 2, while addressing persistent security challenges in vulnerable border areas. Key discussions centered on strengthening defensive measures and enhancing coordinated responses to emerging threats.
The meeting also introduced Operation Sentinelle, a new mission proposed by the G5 Sahel cell. This initiative will deploy reinforced military units equipped with fixed and mobile surveillance outposts. Its primary goals include tighter monitoring of suspicious movements, faster joint response times, and deeper cross-border security collaboration between Tchad and the Central African Republic.
General Moubarak Abakar Nassour Hor emphasized the importance of this mission, stating that it will bolster protection for border communities and provide a more robust framework to tackle regional security threats.
