The Université de Lomé (UL) continues to expand its international reach. On Friday, 5 June 2026, the institution signed a framework cooperation agreement with Creighton University, a Jesuit university based in Omaha, Nebraska, in the United States.
The agreement was signed by Professor Kossivi Hounaké, president of the Université de Lomé, and Reverend Father Daniel Hendrickson, president of Creighton University. Through this partnership, both institutions aim to strengthen collaboration in training, research, and knowledge sharing.
The deal provides for the development of joint training and research programmes, along with enhanced mobility for students, faculty, and researchers. It also opens the door to organising symposia, seminars, and other scientific activities of mutual interest.
The two universities are also committed to sharing academic resources and fostering collaborative projects. Special attention is given to protecting intellectual property and ensuring the confidentiality of information exchanged during research work.
Five-year agreement
Valid for an initial period of five years and renewable, this agreement opens up new opportunities for scientific and academic cooperation that will benefit the university community.
With this new partnership, the Université de Lomé continues its policy of international openness and reaffirms its ambition to strengthen its presence within global university networks.
