US and Chad deepen security and economic ties during high-level talks
The U.S. Acting Assistant Secretary for African Affairs and Chad’s Ambassador discussed key priorities, marking 66 years of diplomatic relations ahead of Independence Day.
Frank Garcia, Acting Assistant Secretary for African Affairs, met with Mahamat Tahir Orozi, Chad’s Ambassador to the United States, at the State Department in Washington, D.C. The meeting coincides with the upcoming U.S. Independence Day celebrations and the 66th anniversary of diplomatic relations with Chad in August.
The talks centered on strengthening security collaboration, enhancing economic ties, and encouraging private sector investments between the two nations.
