Chelsea Football Club has finalized the acquisition of English midfielder Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa, marking the most expensive incoming transfer in Premier League history. The London-based club confirmed the deal on Tuesday evening, with reports suggesting the transfer fee exceeded €138 million.
This landmark deal surpasses the previous record set just two weeks prior, when Manchester City acquired Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest for approximately €135 million. Rogers has signed a contract extension with Chelsea, committing to the club until 2033.
