innovative mentoring through TED Talks
The first-ever Mentoring Day introduced a dynamic format with TED Talks focusing on soft skills, leadership, personal growth, and mentorship. These sessions aimed to bridge the gap between students and industry leaders, equipping young professionals with essential tools for career success.
During the first TED Talk, Mr. Assolé Dabiré, Human Resources Director at Zenith Bank Côte d’Ivoire, discussed the most sought-after behavioral skills in today’s job market. The second talk, led by Ms. Fanta Traoré, Managing Director of Empower Consulting, highlighted the power of networking in career development and how strong professional connections open doors to new opportunities.
panel discussions on finance, digitalization and economic growth
Two high-level panels enriched the day’s discussions. The first explored digitalization and interoperability in the UEMOA region, featuring representatives from BCEAO, Wave, Djamo, and Visa. Topics included payment systems, financial innovation, and inclusive finance.
The second panel focused on life insurance, pension funds, and economic financing. Mr. Jean Kacou Diagou, Founder and President of NSIA Group, shared his entrepreneurial journey through an engaging storytelling session. He emphasized the values of perseverance, integrity, and long-term vision, offering students valuable lessons from his experience.
Throughout the event, students engaged in direct interactions with speakers, received career guidance, and expanded their professional networks through mentorship and networking sessions.
