Malian army strikes jihadist groups in northern Mali

The Malian Armed Forces (FAMA) reported on Thursday that coordinated military operations in the northern regions of Anfif and Tabrachat resulted in the elimination of nearly a hundred armed individuals linked to extremist groups.

According to an official statement, the targeted factions included members of the Group for the Support of Islam and Muslims (JNIM) and the Azavad Liberation Front (FLA). The operations involved 13 precision airstrikes, which successfully neutralized six armored vehicles and a pickup truck.

The military confirmed that the missions were carried out on Tuesday, emphasizing the ongoing commitment to dismantle armed factions across multiple regions. Forces remain dedicated to pursuing these efforts with unwavering discipline and resolve, in close partnership with allied units.

A separate communiqué from the Russian Africa Corps highlighted the successful destruction of militant convoys and equipment. Their statement noted that one of their drones intercepted a vehicle transporting ammunition and other military supplies, further crippling the enemy’s logistical capabilities.

The Russian Africa Corps reiterated that these joint operations with the Malian army are part of a broader strategy to dismantle armed groups in the region. They vowed to continue targeting militant strongholds and their operational assets.
