Mali forces strike armed groups in northern regions

The Malian Armed Forces (FAMA) reported on Thursday that they had neutralized approximately one hundred armed fighters during coordinated military operations in the northern regions of Anfif and Tabrachat.

In an official statement, the army detailed that the targets included members of the Group for the Support of Islam and Muslims (JNIM) and the Azawad Liberation Front (FLA). The operations involved 13 airstrikes, resulting in the destruction of six combat vehicles and a pickup truck.

The military confirmed that these actions took place on Tuesday and emphasized their ongoing commitment to eliminating armed groups across multiple regions. They reiterated their dedication to maintaining disciplined and resolute operations in close collaboration with allied forces.

A statement from the African Corps on X highlighted the successful destruction and burning of a significant number of militant vehicles. The Corps also noted that one of their drones targeted a vehicle transporting ammunition and military equipment.

The Russian Africa Corps added that the operations represented a successful joint effort with the Malian Armed Forces against regional armed factions. They reaffirmed their intention to continue striking militant positions and equipment in the coming days.
