A vision for human-centered migration
In Huelva, Spain, the Moroccan Minister of Economic Inclusion, Small Business, Employment, and Skills, Younes Sekkouri, recently detailed the Kingdom’s forward-thinking approach to migration management. This strategy is built upon the pillars of solidarity, collective responsibility, and a profound respect for human dignity.
During the forum titled “Migratory governance and circular migration between Morocco and Spain: the keys to beneficial cooperation,” Sekkouri emphasized that this humanitarian-focused policy aligns with the strategic directives of King Mohammed VI. This Royal Vision prioritizes human capital within public policy frameworks, viewing migration not just as a movement of people, but as a catalyst for economic development.
The Minister further explained that mobility serves as a vital bridge for transferring expertise and fostering closer ties between nations. By placing the individual at the center of the migration discourse, Morocco aims to transform regional movement into a shared opportunity for progress and social cohesion.
