Chadian President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno landed in N’Djamena late Wednesday evening, concluding a high-level diplomatic mission to the United Arab Emirates.

During his official visit, the head of state engaged in two separate discussions with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The first meeting took place at the Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi, while the second occurred at the Chadian leader’s temporary residence.

Upon touchdown in N’Djamena, President Déby was greeted by a high-ranking delegation that included Prime Minister Allah-Maye Halina, Armed Forces Chief of Staff, several cabinet ministers, the Presidential Secretary-General, the President’s military chief of staff, the deputy civil cabinet director, and the deputy private secretary. N’Djamena’s mayor was also present to welcome him back.
