Chad’s transitional leader, Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno, landed in N’Djamena late yesterday evening, wrapping up an official visit to the United Arab Emirates.

During his stay in Abu Dhabi, the Chadian head of state engaged in two separate discussions with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The first meeting took place at the Presidential Palace, while the second occurred at the residence of Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno.

Upon his arrival at N’Djamena International Airport, the president was greeted by Prime Minister Amb. Allah-Maye Halina, the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces, several government ministers, the Minister of State and Secretary-General of the Presidency, the Chief of Staff of the Presidential Office, the Deputy Civil Cabinet Director, the Deputy Private Secretary, and the Mayor of N’Djamena.
