President Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno, Marshal of Chad, convened a comprehensive security summit on Thursday, July 9th, just hours after his return to the capital from an official visit to Abu Dhabi.
This critical gathering underscored the paramount importance placed on national security matters, bringing together the nation’s most senior defense and security leadership, including the heads of key military and law enforcement bodies.
The agenda for the meeting focused on a thorough assessment of Chad’s evolving overall security landscape. During this evaluation, the Head of State and participating officials meticulously reviewed various aspects, including border security dynamics, ongoing efforts to combat asymmetric threats, the maintenance of public order, and the essential protection of citizens and their assets across the entire national territory.
