The great orientations of African development are being constructed in forums where public officials, international financial institutions, and economists are dialoguing.
On Saturday, July 11, 2026, Minister of Planning and Development Dr. Souleymane Diarrassouba delivered opening statements at the African Economic Conference 2026, alongside President of the African Development Bank Group Dr. Sidi Ould Tah, and representatives from the United Nations and the UNDP, as well as the OECD, co-organizers of this conference with the Commission for Economic Cooperation of the United Nations for Africa.
This annual gathering brings together the main players in development institutions, leading economists at multilateral banks, central banks, research centers, and public officials to discuss the major economic transformations that will shape the continent’s future.
In a context marked by geopolitical recompositions and new challenges to financing development, Côte d’Ivoire shared its experience in strategic planning, mobilizing investments, and economic transformation through its National Development Plan 2026-2030.
As the Governor of the African Development Bank for Côte d’Ivoire, Minister Diarrassouba presented the Government’s vision for a development based on anticipatory public policies, durable reforms, and an investment-friendly framework.
Through this participation, Côte d’Ivoire reaffirmed its commitment to contributing actively to policy development debates in Africa and sharing its well-known experience in planning, coordinating public policies, and mobilizing partners.
