Côte d’Ivoire rallies global investors to accelerate 2026-2030 development vision
Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé convened over 700 investors to energize the national economy through transformative projects under the 2026-2030 National Development Plan.
The second day of the National Development Plan (PND) 2026-2030 consultative group kicked off in Abidjan at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire, chaired by Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé. This investor-focused session brought together more than 700 business leaders from allied nations to catalyze private sector participation.
Robert Beugré Mambé emphasized the pivotal role of private investment in realizing Côte d’Ivoire’s development aspirations. “This marks a critical phase in our consultative efforts centered on investment, entrepreneurship, and value creation. Our goal is to secure the necessary private funding to execute these ambitious development goals. I am delighted to see over 700 investors from friendly nations gathered here today,” he stated.
In an assembly brimming with corporate executives, investors, and private sector delegates, the Prime Minister highlighted the significance of this gathering as a platform for fostering dialogue and aligning visions for economic progress. “Your commitment alongside us reflects the confidence you place in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic potential and growth trajectory. You are invaluable partners in transforming our nation into a more competitive, job-creating economy. Private sector investment will be the driving force behind this transformation,” he remarked.
He reiterated the government’s strategy to position the private sector as the engine of economic metamorphosis. With a proven track record of resilience and adaptability, Côte d’Ivoire’s economy has maintained an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years, solidifying its status as one of Africa’s most vibrant markets.
Robert Beugré Mambé outlined key sectors poised for accelerated investment under the PND 2026-2030, including industrialization, local raw material processing, infrastructure development (transport, digital, logistics), human capital enhancement, and innovation. “This is a market on the rise, offering unparalleled opportunities. Today’s discussions will fast-track investments in priority areas to boost added value, strengthen competitiveness, and enhance economic inclusivity,” he asserted.
The Prime Minister also noted the success of the first day, dedicated to institutional partners, which attracted over 3,000 attendees from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire.
Leading investors echoed their commitment to the vision. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Ivorian Enterprises (CGECI), along with representatives from MEDEF (France), CGEM (Morocco), and the International Finance Corporation (IFC), pledged substantial financial contributions to support the PND 2026-2030.
