Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé launched the second day of the National Development Plan (NDP) 2026-2030 Consultative Group, uniting over 700 investors to energize the nation’s economy.
The second day of the National Development Plan (NDP) 2026-2030 Consultative Group kicked off on July 9, 2026, in Abidjan at the Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire, under the leadership of Prime Minister Robert Beugré Mambé.
« This marks a pivotal phase in our consultative efforts focused on investment, enterprise, and value creation, » Mambé stated. « Our goal is clear: mobilize the private sector to fuel the development ambitions outlined in this plan. I am pleased to report that over 700 investors from friendly nations have joined this initiative. »
The gathering brought together business leaders, investors, and private sector representatives from across the globe, all converging in Abidjan to engage in high-level discussions. The Prime Minister emphasized the significance of this forum as a platform for fostering collaboration with the private sector and aligning on a shared vision for growth.
« Your presence here reflects the confidence you place in Côte d’Ivoire’s economic potential and its growth trajectory, » he told the audience. « You are essential partners in transforming our nation into a more competitive and job-creating economy. The success of this vision hinges on your willingness to invest. »
Mambé underscored the government’s commitment to positioning the private sector as the driving force behind Côte d’Ivoire’s economic transformation. He reassured investors that the nation’s economy has consistently demonstrated resilience and adaptability, achieving an average growth rate of 6.5% over recent years—a testament to its status as one of Africa’s most dynamic economies.
« Today, you are presented with a market brimming with opportunities, » he declared. « The discussions and agreements forged during this event will accelerate investments in key sectors outlined in the NDP 2026-2030, including industrialization, local processing of raw materials to enhance value addition, and the expansion of critical infrastructure such as transportation, digital networks, and logistics. These efforts are designed to bolster competitiveness and appeal. Additionally, we will prioritize investments in human capital, innovation, and essential services to cultivate a more productive and inclusive economy. »
The Prime Minister also highlighted the success of the first day, which focused on institutional partners and the presentation of Côte d’Ivoire’s development strategy. That session attracted over 3,000 participants from 49 countries, including Côte d’Ivoire itself.
Leaders from the business community echoed Mambé’s enthusiasm. Ahmed Cissé, President of the General Confederation of Ivorian Enterprises (CGECI), alongside Mehdi Tazi, President of the Africa Committee of France’s Movement of Enterprises (MEDEF), and Mohamed Gouled, Vice President of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), expressed their full support for the Ivorian authorities’ vision. They pledged to play an active role in implementing the NDP 2026-2030 through substantial financial commitments.
