On June 2, 2026, the Kingdom of Morocco took center stage at Düsseldorf’s Konsularischer Abend, marking a pivotal moment in the 70-year history of Moroccan-German relations. The high-profile gathering brought together 300 political and economic leaders to celebrate this enduring partnership.

Addressing the audience, Morocco’s Consul General in Düsseldorf, Boutaina Bouabid, and Secretary General of the Department of Moroccans Residing Abroad, Ismail Lamghari, underscored the depth of cooperation between Rabat and Berlin. They highlighted the vital role played by the Moroccan diaspora in Germany as a cultural and economic bridge between the two nations.

With support from Morocco’s National Tourism Office, the event showcased the Kingdom’s growing appeal through showcases of recent achievements, a traditional caftan fashion display, and a captivating Gnawa musical performance. These elements underscored Morocco’s rich heritage and modern dynamism.

The evening served as a powerful reaffirmation of both countries’ commitment to deepening diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties for the long term.
