Sawti launches multilingual platform to simplify moroccan political news

sawti, a groundbreaking digital platform available at www.sawti.info, is transforming the way Moroccans access political information, both at home and abroad. Designed with inclusivity in mind, this non-profit initiative aims to make complex political processes transparent and understandable for every citizen.

sawti platform interface

breaking down political barriers with accessible content

Founded by Moroccan entrepreneurs Ismaïl Lahlou and Yassine Lahlou Kamal, sawti operates as a non-profit initiative with a clear mission: to simplify political discourse and foster greater civic engagement across the country. Recognizing that political jargon often alienates citizens, the platform delivers clear, jargon-free explanations of government functions, electoral procedures, and national political dynamics.

The platform’s multilingual design ensures accessibility for diverse audiences. Currently, sawti supports nine languages—including Moroccan darija, standard Arabic, French, English, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, and German—with plans to add Tamazight (Berber) soon. The user-friendly interface is intentionally intuitive, allowing visitors to navigate seamlessly between articles, videos, and interactive tools without technical barriers.

empowering citizens through educational and practical tools

One of sawti’s standout features is its ability to help users verify their voter registration status or complete online registration in minutes. With the June 13 deadline for voter registration fast approaching, the platform provides a quick, reliable way for Moroccans to confirm their eligibility and meet the deadline. For citizens living abroad, sawti offers detailed guidance on participating in elections from overseas, addressing a longstanding challenge in the diaspora community.

Looking ahead, sawti is developing an interactive quiz designed to help users align their political beliefs with current societal issues. This tool will encourage deeper reflection on personal values while making political engagement more approachable and engaging.

a modern approach to civic participation

Available exclusively at www.sawti.info, this platform represents a bold step toward modernizing political communication in Morocco. By combining accessibility, education, and user-centered design, sawti is empowering citizens to participate more meaningfully in the country’s democratic processes—whether through informed voting, active civic discourse, or transparent governance.
