A major step toward energy self-sufficiency was taken in N’Djamena with the launch of a significant new infrastructure project. The Prime Minister, Sifi Ghrieb, together with the Chadian Head of Government, Allamaye Halina, officially presided over the foundation stone-laying ceremony for a new energy facility.
A 40 MW project for regional solidarity
This installation, named the Algerian-Chadian solidarity power plant, is designed to have a total production capacity of 40 megawatts. The project serves as a cornerstone of the growing partnership between the two nations, aiming to provide a sustainable solution to the energy needs of the Chadian capital and surrounding areas. This initiative highlights the commitment of Algeria and Chad to foster bilateral cooperation and address local electricity requirements through shared technical efforts.
