In a decisive regulatory move, the Central African Banking Commission (COBAC) has revoked the operational license of Financial Development Tchad (FINADEV Tchad S.A.), a second-tier microfinance institution headquartered in N’Djamena. The decision, issued on February 5, 2026, marks the immediate liquidation of the institution.
An official statement released on May 21 confirmed that FINADEV Tchad S.A. will undergo liquidation proceedings commencing from the date of notification. The process is capped at a one-year duration, with provisions for extension if circumstances require it.
