Gabon leverages space technology to bridge digital divide

On July 27th, Libreville hosted a pivotal gathering of Gabon’s digital and defense authorities, signaling a bold new chapter in the country’s telecommunications future. Under the leadership of Minister Mark-Alexandre Doumba, the National Seminar on Digital Economy and Space Innovation marked the launch of a strategic vision where satellite technology takes center stage. The event brought together top officials from the Gabonese Space Agency (Ageos) and the National Agency for Digital Infrastructure (Aninf) to lay the groundwork for a sustainable national digital strategy.
