To safeguard public health and ensure food safety, the administration of the 1st arrondissement in Abéché carried out a decisive operation this Thursday to dismantle a clandestine slaughterhouse located in the Farik Aguek district.
Directed by Hissein Hassan Tabit, the assistant to the delegated administrator, this intervention effectively halted illegal butchery activities that were operating far outside of established sanitary and legal frameworks. Upon arriving at the scene, officials found several head of livestock being held for unauthorized processing.

The local authorities reiterated that the slaughter of livestock must exclusively occur within certified facilities. These regulations are in place to guarantee that meat intended for public consumption is safe and handled under hygienic conditions.
