Laborex Tchad, a subsidiary of CFAO Healthcare, marked its 30th anniversary this week with a celebration highlighting its pivotal role in the country’s pharmaceutical sector. The milestone event recognized the company’s journey from a local distributor to a cornerstone of medical supply chains across Chad’s healthcare landscape.
Established in 1996, Laborex Tchad has spent three decades ensuring reliable access to essential medicines and medical supplies. The company serves pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, and health centers nationwide, with key hubs in N’Djamena, Moundou, Sarh, Abéché, Bongor, and other major cities.
The anniversary ceremony featured speeches from the Chair of the Board, Ms. Ngarmbatina Sou IV, and Mr. Sébastien Roux, Deputy Zone Director of CFAO Healthcare. Reflecting on the company’s growth, Ms. Sou IV expressed deep gratitude to Chad’s health authorities for their unwavering support over the years.
« Choosing Laborex Tchad isn’t just routine—it’s a vote of confidence in our commitment to delivering the right medicine, to the right place, at the right time, for every patient in Chad, » she emphasized. Her remarks resonated with gratitude toward financial partners, pharmacists, distributors, hospitals, and loyal customers who have contributed to the company’s success.
With visible emotion, she added, « Thirty years is just the beginning. We’re here for at least seventy more. »

Mr. Roux recounted his 24-year journey with CFAO Healthcare, celebrating Laborex Tchad as a symbol of resilience and innovation. He paid tribute to former leaders, including Ms. Maria Mion Calvet, and praised the current leadership under the guidance of CEO Ms. Tignocqua for keeping the company dynamic and forward-looking.
« Laborex is both an established and youthful company, thanks to the dedication of its team, » he noted. His speech also acknowledged the Ministry of Public Health for its collaboration, as well as laboratory partners, financial institutions, and staff for their relentless efforts.
« It is your collective commitment that guarantees a steady supply of pharmaceutical products across Chad, » he affirmed.
The celebration concluded on a joyful note, enriched by traditional balafon music, which left a lasting impression on attendees.
