PSG has officially completed its first summer transfer by selling Gonçalo Ramos to AC Milan. This departure leaves the Parisian club searching for a new striker, and reports indicate they are considering Folarin Balogun.

As expected, Gonçalo Ramos has joined AC Milan. Paris Saint-Germain made the announcement official via a statement. “After three seasons at Paris Saint-Germain and no fewer than 12 trophies won, including two consecutive Champions League titles, Gonçalo Ramos has signed for AC Milan on a permanent transfer,” the club wrote. The Portuguese striker has committed to the Italian side until 2031, leaving a void that PSG will look to fill through a new signing.
PSG considering Balogun?
PSG is reportedly exploring a surprising option in Folarin Balogun. The American international was AS Monaco’s top scorer last season with 19 goals in 43 appearances, and he is currently performing well in the World Cup he is competing in on home soil with the United States. Luis Campos and his recruitment team are said to be especially fond of the 24-year-old striker, who brings valuable Ligue 1 experience from his spells at Reims and Monaco.
AS Monaco open to a sale?
At present, PSG has not initiated any concrete steps, but if interest materializes, AS Monaco is unlikely to block a sale. Facing financial difficulties after missing out on Champions League qualification, the principality club has placed Balogun on the market along with Lamine Camara and Maghnes Akliouche, who is also being tracked by PSG. Paris could therefore land a double transfer from Monaco, though Tottenham and Chelsea are also in the race for Folarin Balogun.
