Yan Diomandé signals green light for high-profile Paris Saint-Germain move

Could Yan Diomandé be the marquee signing for PSG this summer? The Côte d’Ivoire international, who emerged as a breakout star during the 2026 World Cup, has long been a target for the French champions. The club’s leadership has now accelerated negotiations to secure the 19-year-old winger, who has reportedly given his full consent to join the Rouge-et-Bleu.

The Parisian club is currently intensifying its recruitment efforts. The focus has shifted heavily toward Yan Diomandé, whose performances were a highlight of the recent tournament before Côte d’Ivoire fell to Norway. The RB Leipzig attacker is highly coveted by Luis Enrique, and the young talent appears eager to make the transition to Ligue 1.

Agreement in place for the Ivorian prodigy

Talks are ongoing between PSG and RB Leipzig regarding the future of Diomandé. Despite strong interest from Liverpool, the player has made his preference clear: he wants to sign with the Paris-based club. While a personal agreement exists, the challenge lies in the negotiations between the two clubs. The German side is notoriously difficult to deal with and has suggested a scenario where the transfer is signed now, but the player stays in the Bundesliga until 2027.

A push for an immediate transfer to Paris

While RB Leipzig aims to keep their asset for one more year, PSG is pushing for an immediate integration of Yan Diomandé into their squad. The player is equally keen on an instant move. The primary obstacle remains the financial package; a previous offer of 100 million euros was rejected by the German club. Securing his signature now would require a massive financial commitment, yet PSG remains actively engaged in the pursuit.
