In a show of solidarity, the Chad-Central African Republic joint force commander recently met with injured troops from the Korbol region. General Moubarak Abakar Nassour Hor visited the provincial hospital in Sarh Outel Bono to assess the condition of two soldiers wounded during an armed ambush in Korbol.
The visit followed a violent attack in the area, where Sergeant Allahguernganye Diro Martial, 36, suffered a gunshot wound to the chest, and Corporal Djimet Issakah Dane sustained a fractured left leg from gunfire. Both servicemen were initially treated at the hospital but required advanced medical care.
After consulting with medical staff, the commander expedited their transfer to N’Djamena for specialized treatment. Dr. Sayambaye Alladoumdjim, deputy director of Sarh Outel Bono Hospital, praised the military’s swift response in arranging the emergency evacuation to ensure the soldiers received proper care.
The urgent transfer underscores the military’s commitment to the well-being of its personnel. Authorities remain hopeful that the move will enhance the soldiers’ recovery prospects.
