Final preparations underway in Yaoundé for the Cameroon Senate’s June session

The Cameroon Senate is fully prepared to launch its ordinary session for June 2026 tomorrow, June 9, 2026.

Demonstrating administrative diligence, the Secretary General of the Senate, Gustave Léopold Ngane, alongside the Assistant Secretary General and other senior officials, conducted a thorough inspection of the Senate’s facilities at the Economic and Social Council this morning, June 8, 2026.

This final walkthrough was designed to confirm the readiness of all essential infrastructure required for smooth parliamentary operations. The delegation carefully reviewed the conference areas, the VIP reception lounge, banquet facilities, and the primary chamber where senators will gather throughout the session.

Following the tour, the Secretary General expressed complete confidence in the operational status of the site. He confirmed that all technical and logistical arrangements have been successfully concluded ahead of the session’s opening.

In keeping with parliamentary custom, the June ordinary session will focus primarily on budgetary orientation debates, strategic discussions between the Upper House and the Court of Auditors of the Supreme Court, as well as the detailed review and passage of legislative bills.
