Groundbreaking recognition for impactful governance

In a special edition celebrating two decades of excellence, the initiative introduced a dedicated category to honor countries demonstrating exceptional progress in strategic sectors through effective public policies. The winners were selected by an independent jury of African experts and journalists, evaluating criteria such as policy impact, economic performance, sectoral advancements, and contributions to African integration.

The vision behind the awards

Michel Russel Lohoré, founder of the Bâtisseurs de l’Économie Africaine, emphasized that this initiative aims to spotlight not just businesses and economic figures, but the enduring public policies and national strategies that fuel Africa’s economic evolution. The jury, led by international affairs specialist Valentin Mbougueng, relied on international rankings, regional reports, and field expertise to identify the most impactful initiatives.

A grand celebration in Abidjan

The distinguished winners will be formally honored at a gala event marking the platform’s 20th anniversary, scheduled for June 18 in Abidjan. Since its establishment in 2006, the pan-African platform has consistently celebrated economic actors, institutions, and investors who play pivotal roles in the continent’s development journey.
