The Istanbul club is searching for a top-level goalkeeper and has sounded out Chevalier’s situation. However, if he does leave, Chevalier is expected to favor a more attractive sporting project than what Besiktas might offer.
Laure Boulleau: ‘To regain confidence, he must look elsewhere’
Football consultant Laure Boulleau recently weighed in, suggesting a move is Chevalier’s best option this summer. ‘I don’t take pleasure in seeing he has had a catastrophic season. He really needs to bounce back; I don’t think he became a bad player overnight. He must regain confidence, but to do that, he needs to go elsewhere. He should go somewhere where he can be happy and rediscover the qualities we all know he has,’ she said.
