The Ministry of Security and Civil Protection has significantly bolstered the operational capabilities of Mali’s Security Forces through the official handover of twenty new vehicles and specialized equipment. These crucial acquisitions were entirely funded by the national budget, underscoring Mali’s commitment to strengthening its internal security apparatus. The formal ceremony, which unfolded on Friday, July 31, 2026, was presided over by Major General Daoud Aly MOHAMMEDINE.

Among the diverse range of assets delivered were six spacious 60-seater buses, a vital breakdown recovery vehicle, two 20,000-liter Spiros tanker trucks, eight 4,000-liter fire engine tankers, and three substantial 50,000-liter pump-and-hose fire engine vans. These advanced vehicles have been strategically allocated to key national security entities, including the National Police, Civil Protection, National Gendarmerie, National Guard, and the esteemed Security Forces Staff College.

Major General MOHAMMEDINE emphasized that these strategic procurements directly reflect the unwavering resolve of the President of the Transition, General of the Army Assimi. The objective is clear: to enhance the operational readiness and effectiveness of the Armed and Security Forces, thereby ensuring a stable and secure environment that aligns with the profound aspirations of the Malian populace. He further highlighted the indispensable role of robust and adaptable logistics in improving the mobility and rapid response capabilities of security personnel when confronting various threats.

Brigadier General Boucary KODIO, who serves as the Director General of Civil Protection, conveyed the profound commitment of all beneficiary institutions to meticulously manage and optimally utilize this new equipment.
