Niamey, July 27, 2026 – The government aims to make the future science college in Niamey a reference institution for training scientific elites. In this context, Minister of National Education, Alphabétization and Language Promotion Dr. Elisabeth Shérif inspected the construction site today to evaluate the progress of work and ensure that the deadlines will be respected.
Concretely, the construction site includes several infrastructure destined to accommodate future students of the institution. The classrooms, scientific laboratories, administrative buildings, and other educational equipment are among the installations called upon to provide the college with an environment adapted to the requirements of modern scientific education.
During her visit, Dr. Elisabeth Shérif met with engineers, technicians, and companies responsible for the execution of works. On this occasion, she reminded them of the strategic importance of this project for the national education system, while emphasizing two imperatives: maintaining a high level of quality in the results and respecting contractual commitments to avoid any delay in the delivery of the establishment.
Modern Learning Environment
The construction of this science college is part of the government’s policy to strengthen educational offerings, led by senior authorities of the state. Through this project, the government intends to offer Niger a facility capable of supporting the emergence of scientific skills that the country will need to accompany its economic, technological, and industrial development in the coming years.
