Ousmane Sonko and PASTEF deepen their presence in Jolof

The political movement PASTEF-Les Patriotes recently concluded an impactful two-day series of activities across the vibrant Jolof region. This strategic tour, spearheaded by party leader Ousmane Sonko and accompanied by State Minister Habib Sy, alongside numerous national executives and coalition partners, navigated through all 19 communes of the Linguère department. The extensive outreach spanned from Dahra to Barkédji, encompassing key localities such as Sagatta and Yang-Yang, demonstrating a comprehensive engagement with local communities.

The itinerary for this significant event highlighted crucial interactions with local religious and traditional authorities. Furthermore, robust dialogues were held with the party’s grassroots structures, which include dynamic youth movements, women’s groups, and executive committees. Following this successful mobilization, the local leadership of PASTEF formalized its strategic roadmap for upcoming initiatives. A pivotal moment was the official inauguration of the departmental headquarters, coupled with the commencement of membership card distribution. Through these efforts, PASTEF aims to significantly consolidate its territorial presence and foster close ties within the diverse villages and neighborhoods across the department.

Concurrently with these internal organizational endeavors, local political officials are extending an open invitation for unity. They actively encourage militants, sympathizers, and political figures from other affiliations to join their overarching vision for territorial development and collective progress.
