Tchad security sweep nets 347 arrests in N’Djamena’s 10th district
A coordinated security operation in N’Djamena’s 10th arrondissement led to the seizure of illegal arms and the detention of 447 individuals. Public Security Minister Ali Ahmat Aghabache praised the swift and professional response of security forces.
A large-scale security sweep unfolded in N’Djamena’s 10th arrondissement, uniting the National Gendarmerie, National Police, National Anti-Terrorism Group and other specialized units under unified command. The operation was overseen by Police General Controller Tougoud Digo Maïdé and Major General Djiddo Mahamat Haggar, with Public Security Minister Ali Ahmat Aghabache personally monitoring progress.
The operation yielded significant results, including the confiscation of illegal firearms and unregistered vehicles. Authorities also detained 165 undocumented foreign nationals and 282 Chadian citizens lacking proper identification. Speaking afterward, Minister Aghabache commended the precision and professionalism demonstrated by security personnel throughout the operation.
