N’Djamena, Chad – A significant partnership agreement was formalized in N’Djamena on August 6, 2026, between the Institut Supérieur du Journalisme et de la Communication du Tchad (ISJCT) and the Association des Médias en Ligne du Tchad (AMET). This strategic collaboration is poised to strengthen the vital connection between academic instruction and media professionals, ultimately aiming for a sustained enhancement of journalistic quality across Chad.
The accord outlines several key initiatives. It establishes a framework for ISJCT students to undertake professional internships within media organizations that are members of AMET, thereby smoothing their transition into the professional world. Furthermore, the agreement commits AMET to promoting the ISJCT’s activities throughout its extensive network.
Both institutions are dedicated to developing and implementing a comprehensive program of continuous education and professional refinement. This specialized training will cater to journalists, chief editors, editorial managers, and media executives affiliated with AMET member outlets. The curriculum will encompass a wide array of critical subjects, including contemporary journalistic practices, digital journalism, rigorous fact-checking methodologies, effective newsroom management, sustainable media economic models, the integration of artificial intelligence, ethical considerations, journalist safety protocols, and other pressing challenges facing the modern media landscape.
