In light of these budgetary decisions, particularly after the former Prime Minister himself disclosed this precise amount to parliamentary deputies on May 22, just hours before his dismissal, the former leader of the Awalé party expressed his strong support for a public and exemplary financial audit. “My desire was to establish a parliamentary investigative commission, inviting all television and radio outlets to film, so he could clarify precisely where these funds were allocated,” he asserted.
When questioned about the contrasting styles of governance and public stances between Ousmane Sonko and the Head of State, Abdourahmane Diouf made a point of commending the paradigm shift introduced by the latter. “Every Senegalese citizen is aware that the President of the Republic has access to political funds.
