Minister Agonkan welcomed the envoy’s approach, noting that this collaboration fits squarely within the government’s vision under President Romuald Wadagni to forge a professional, resilient army equipped with cutting-edge tools to counter current threats.
Reaffirming Benin’s commitment to the UAE, given Abu Dhabi’s geostrategic weight in the Gulf region, the minister voiced hope of tapping into Emirati military expertise.
The expected support centres on training, equipment acquisition, and technological assistance to turn this cooperation axis into reality.
Both countries have pledged to keep up their joint efforts in the service of peace, regional stability, and development.
