Real Madrid transfer: Tchouaméni’s move blocked by two key factors

Since arriving in the summer of 2022, Aurélien Tchouaméni may see his stint at Real Madrid come to an end this summer. While he competes in the 2026 World Cup with the French national team, the France international has been repeatedly mentioned as a potential departure in recent days. Manchester United is said to be keeping close tabs on the 26-year-old midfielder. However, two main obstacles are reportedly preventing a potential move for Aurélien Tchouaméni to the Red Devils.

“The two issues concerning Tchouaméni remain the same. The first is the salary. He has a high wage, and for now, that is not what Manchester United wants to do. Manchester United likes him and considers him a fantastic player. But at the moment, Real Madrid is not inclined to open the door for Tchouaméni. A phone call from Real Madrid to Manchester United saying he is for sale is not happening. But if it did happen, Manchester United would be ready to try. However, there is a problem with the salary and the fact that Real Madrid has not yet opened the door,” revealed Fabrizio Romano on his YouTube channel.

It remains to be seen whether Real Madrid will ultimately be open to letting Aurélien Tchouaméni leave. The Madrid board is currently focusing on reinforcements to offer to José Mourinho. After Marc Cucurella and Ibrahima Konaté, the Merengue are unlikely to stop there. A departure for Aurélien Tchouaméni is therefore not a priority at the Casa Blanca for now.
